- LOYALTY DISCOUNT – For those campers for whom this year is at least a 5th time at camp, take $200 off your total tuition.
- SIBLING/PARENT/GRANDPARENT DISCOUNT – Litchfield Jazz Camp is offering a discount of $100 off the tuition of a second family member enrolled at LJC for the same week.
- MULTI-WEEK DISCOUNT – When you register for multiple weeks you automatically receive a discount on tuition.
Fees Include:
Camp fees include all classes, rooming for five nights (residents only Sun-Thurs), nightly faculty concerts, jam sessions, one camp t-shirt, as well as three excellent meals a day featuring local organic produce (dietary needs are accommodated). Private lessons are 1 hour and available for a fee of $150 (maximum 1 per week). Residential students registered for Session 4 have an up-charge of $100. This includes a ticket to the opening concert of the Litchfield Jazz Festival on Friday evening, as well as that night’s stay, and meals for Friday evening and Saturday morning. Camp runs Sunday – Friday weeks 1-3 (checkout will be Saturday morning during week 4).
A $25 combo book charge (except for vocal students) will be added to your final amount due.
An optional $200 fee is added for any students wishing to stay over the weekend.
Credit Card Processing Fee added to all invoices 2.2% (waived for payments made by check)
Jazz Camp T-Shirt:
Included in tuition is an official Litchfield Jazz Camp T-shirt. Extra shirts can be purchased for $25 each.
Weekends:
Multi week students who come from long distances away can stay on campus between camp sessions. Each weekend has a $250 charge. Laundry and meals are included in the weekend charge. We encourage those who can go home over the weekend to do so and come back energized for Sunday.
Deposit, Payment Deadlines:
$350 non-refundable deposit ($100 non-refundable deposit for scholarship applicants).
*receive one entry per registered week paid in full.
Final Payment is due by May 1.
FINAL TUITION PAYMENTS
For students who still have an outstanding balance, please pay online, or by sending a check payable to: Litchfield Performing Arts, P.O. Box 69, Litchfield, CT 06759.
Please make payment in full no later than May 1st. Tuition (but not deposit) is refundable for emergency withdrawals only until May 1st. All payments are forfeit for withdrawal after May 1. Payments after May 1st are subject to a $50 late fee. Once a camp session begins for the enrolled student, no refunds will be made for any reasons including illness. The camper or parent/guardian is responsible for all additional costs to LJC for obtaining payment including additional bank fees for returned checks.
As we cannot provide refunds, we encourage you to consider purchasing third party insurance prior to May 1st. Third party camp insurance may be available through companies like aplusplans.com*.

Need Based Scholarship Support:
Partial or full scholarship support may be available for middle and high school students in financial need.
Please note, scholarship does not cover or include private lessons, or extra items such as additional t-shirts or bags.
To Apply: Fill in the on-line application. After registering send us the required financial information. Required for application; pages 1 & 2 of Tax Form 1040, of the most recent return and a $100 non-refundable deposit. Deadline: April 15. Notification: On or about May 1. Once you receive confirmation that your application has been received, please do not inquire about your status. You will be informed as soon as possible.

Changes & Cancellations:
Deposits are non-refundable. There is no additional deposit required to add weeks for your camper.
There is no fee to switch weeks if your schedule changes.
Tuition paid can be credited towards a future year and can be transferred between family members.

Camp Insurance:
Since camp deposits and tuitions are non-refundable, we encourage families to purchase a camp/travel protection plan that includes trip cancellation coverage. This would also provide COVID- related protection. Camp insurances are offered through a third party and not through Litchfield Jazz Camp.
