A Splendid Evening

We learned one thing for sure last night.  Its supporters are among the most stalwart in New England.  The first snowfall of the season hit just in time to make travel hazardous.  Still, 70 of the 95 people expected showed up and had a wonderful time at the Jingle & Mingle dinner fundraiser at Litchfield Community Center.

Jingle & Mingle guest enjoyed a delicious dinner by Ciesco Cartering, music by Nicole Zuraitis’ faculty and student band and the amazing piano work  and 11-year- old prodigy Litchfield Jazz Camper, Brandon Goldberg, who came all the way from Miami for the occasion. The honored musical guest of the evening was renowned saxophonist and Music Director of Litchfield Jazz Camp for the past 21 years, Don Braden.

The event raised $5000. Thanks to underwriting support from the Connecticut Community Foundation, The Northwest Connecticut Community Foundation, Litchfield Distillery, Litchfield Community Center and Litchfield Jazz donors, all proceeds will support Litchfield Jazz Camp. The night was so much fun, we plan to do it again next year!

Thank you all for a splendid evening!
