Included in student tuition is a 2-day festival pass for each student, master classes with festival stars and a performance opportunity for each student on a dedicated second stage for our students. Organized Jam Sessions will take place between Main Stage acts all weekend long. The Jam Sessions allow students who attended the camp in Sessions 1, 2 and 3 to perform on the festival. Most students who attend Session 4 will be scheduled to perform with their Session 4 Combo. Session 4 students are also welcome to participate in jam sessions, but priority is given to students whose combos could not be reformed for the festival.
Combo books will be provided. If you would like to play, be at the student stage at least 10 minutes before the Jam Session starts, and talk to the Jazz Fest Member in charge of that particular session. Vocalists: please bring charts or be prepared to sing a standard in the original key or a Blues.
Please note: students may use their nametag from camp as a 2-day pass to a designated student seating section in the back of the Mainstage Tent. The pass is non-transferable and cannot be upgraded. Additional tickets for parents, siblings or friends can be purchased in advance of the festival or at the gate during festival weekend. Children 12 and under are free on the lawn with a parent/guardian. There is also a special student discount at the gate. You do not need a Mainstage Tent ticket to watch the student performances on the student stage.
See the Buy Tickets page to purchase additional tickets to the festival.

Session 4 checkout information
For our 4th and final session we will be having an end of week student concert on campus at the Canterbury school, beginning at 6:30pm. We will have a checkout table open during the entire concert for students that wish to check out. This includes students that cannot stay for the festival, as well as students who would like to check out of camp to stay elsewhere, but will still be attending the festival.
Please note the festival does not occur on campus, but at the Goshen fairgrounds which is about 40 minutes away.
All session 4 ensembles will be scheduled a specific time to perform at the festival in the student stage tent. Most ensembles will be scheduled Saturday during the day, between main stage acts. A few select ensembles will also perform at the fundraiser Brunch on Sunday. A full list of brunch performers and student stage performances will be made available online during week 4 as soon as we can complete it (Thursday at the latest).
There will be several checkout times available Saturday. The first checkout is from campus before 9am. Anyone that does not checkout by 9am must board the buses and depart for the Goshen fairgrounds for the festival. We will also have 2 scheduled checkout times at the festival. Students wishing to checkout from the festival must do so at these exact times, we will not have a checkout station open the entire day. The exact times of these checkouts will be posted during week 4. Parents wishing to see the student stage performances will need to purchase lawn tickets to enter the festival grounds. Discounts for camp parents and alumni are available, please contact our office for more information.
Any student wishing to checkout from the festival should also bring ALL of their belongings and instruments with them to the festival. We will have a Uhaul truck available for additional transportation in addition to the buses. Students may store luggage and belongings in the locked Uhaul truck during the day, and will have access to the truck to retrieve their luggage at the designated check out times.
Breakfast is provided on campus Saturday and meal payment vouchers will be available for students staying Saturday at the festival.
All remaining students must checkout at Canterbury School campus by 9:00 AM on Sunday. Camp is closed after 9 AM – there is no staff supervision, or further meals. Students performing in the Festival Brunch can be transported to the festival grounds. All other parents are expected to transport their student Sunday to the Goshen Fairgrounds if they wish to. In the rare case that parents cannot pick their student up by 9 AM please notify us by Wednesday, August 2nd to make special arrangements for check out and transport to the festival.
