William Evans is a pianist and composer based in New York. From Providence, Rhode Island, Evans developed his love of music through a wide variety of recordings, from Bach to the Beatles. He received the George Wein Jazz Ambassador award in 2016 and graduated with highest honors from Brown University in 2020. He is working on a Master’s degree at the Manhattan School of Music and gigging professionally at venues including Dizzy’s Club, the 55 Bar and Firehouse 12. Among the musicians he has had the good fortune to study with are Ed Tomassi, Hal Crook, and Phil Markowitz.
