Nicole Zuraitis


Vocalist and pianist Nicole Zuraitis has made a name for herself internationally as a jazz singer and songwriter. She is the 2016 winner of the New York City Songwriting Competition Coffee Music Project and will travel to London to record her song ” I like you a latte” at the famous Metropolis Studios in 2017. She was a 2015 finalist in the Sarah Vaughan International Vocal Competition at NJPAC, a 2014 winner of the ASCAP Herb Alpert National Young Jazz Composers award and a semifinalist in the National American Traditions Vocal Competition in winter 2015, taking home both the People’s Choice Award and the Johnny Mercer Award. Last year she headlined the 2016 Litchfield Jazz Festival with her mentor and peer guitarist Dave Stryker.  Her world music folk band EVA tours internationally alongside folk legends Livingston Taylor, Tom Chapin and Melanie Safka. She joined The Omar Hakim Experience as a vocalist at the Iridium Jazz Club in June 2015 and had the great pleasure of singing with Bernard Purdie, Kung Fu and Elise Testone most recently at the New Orleans Jazz Festival. She has shared the stage with Jane Monheit, Dave Brubeck, Michael League, Dave Stryker, Jeremy Pelt, Antonio Sanchez, Cyrille Aimee, Don Braden among others. She holds a residency at the iconic jazz club 55 bar once a month and headlined the Blue Note Jazz Club in March 2016. Her two albums are available online and she will release her new album in 2017. Nicole teaches private lessons in her studio in Brooklyn, NY and teaches songwriting and vocal jazz workshops worldwide, including at the Berklee College of Music and Project Poetry Live in Hartford, Ct.
